  Handpainted Fibers & Textiles

  Germany’s House of Textile Arts (formerly known as Tentakulum) is famous for their Painter’s Threads: handpainted and space dyed textile materials created from silk, cotton, wool, rayon and metallics. Most products are named for famous artists (list below) who inspired the vibrant, saturated color choices. CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Do not wash cold or lukewarm (suggested wash in the washing machine at 104 degrees Fahrenheit). Do not iron with steam, spray or starch. While the fiber reactive dyes used feature high color fastness, as with all hand-dyed products, color fastness cannot be guaranteed. • BERNINA SALES EVENT APRIL 5TH AND 6TH

Artistic Artifacts is excited to be hosting a BERNINA Long Arm event to help you decide and take the intimidation out of your testing phase! The BERNINA Clever Quilting, led by Betsy Carlson of the BERNINA EVENT Team, is designed to Introduce you to BERNINA sit down Q16, Q16 Plus or Q20 with hands on experience. “In this half day event, gain that hands-on experience with longarm quilting. You will learn various free-motion techniques. You will gain confidence in quilting while discovering first-hand what makes quilting on a BERNINA Q Series machine so special!” During the event, you will share a machine and create a sample of 6 techniques including: stippling, fill techniques, ruler work, echo quilting and more. Let us know if you are interested in a frame machine and possibly a Q-Matic. Artistic Artifacts have display models of Q20 on Studio Frame and Q24 with Q Matic on professional frame. Betsy will show you just how easy quilting can be with a BERNINA Q-Matic. Learn how to quilt your quilts quickly with edge-to-edge quilting, explore custom quilting for squares, triangles, borders and more. Q-Matic can beautifully quilt those squares that are not quite square and even borders that are not quite straight! Dreaming of a long arm, thinking about a sit down – let us help you create the quilting set up of your dreams! It is important to evaluate the options of sit-down BERNINA Q Machines vs the option of purchasing Q machines on a frame and we will assist you in deciding which set up best fits your needs, space, and budget. We are offering this 3-hour class in the morning and afternoon on Friday April 5th and Saturday April 6th. The reservation fee of $59.99 will be applied to your machine purchase.
